Experienced Workers Assessment Route Now Introduced
A positive milestone for the Industry is that the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) has now introduced the Experienced Workers Assessment Route. This is for current experienced industry workers, who require proof of competency to gain the Plumbing and Heating SVQ Level 3 qualification, in order to work in the industry. See here for more info.
Fraudulent Card Policy
Please be aware that any fraudulent cards that are reported to the SNIJIB will be seized and destroyed. We will also report the holders of fraudulent cards to the relevant authorities.
SNIJIB Price Increase
Please be aware that as of Monday 11th of March our annual fee increase will be going into effect.
New Wage and Allowance Agreement
The Scottish & Northern Ireland Joint Industry Board for the Plumbing Industry (SNIPEF & UNITE) have reached an agreement on the Graded rates of wages and allowances to apply from Monday 19 August 2024.
